That's the thing about legit fighting (or "legit" fighting if you prefer). It has learned from wrestling history. There's a face, there's a heel. Like how Connor McGregor plays a heel, for example. There's promo's, and again Connor cuts a good promo. There's angles, there's work, there's shoots, and even worked shoots. It is a huge element why wrestling is dying. What's unique about wrestling? That's why I find it so frustrating that modern Wrestling keeps ignoring the basics in their attempt to pass off wrestling as Theatre performance. They think workrate puts asses in seats when it just makes people fall asleep. In real fighitng, matches are decided by one wrong move and its entertaining because they're on guard the entire match looking for an opening. In Wrestling, this would've been the part of wrestling psychology but it seems to be forgotten art since damn near nobody does that in modern wrestling. They just want to spam their supermoves like anime character and it looks supergay because they're not anime characters.
