IT'S HAPPENING, NVIDIA ADA LOVELACE ON SEPTEMBER 20
THANK YOU NVIDIA
We’ll get through this over the next few months and go into next year with our new architecture. I look forward to telling you more about it at GTC next month.
I look forward to next month’s GTC conference, where we will share new advances of RTX reinventing 3D graphics and gaming.
— Jensen Huang, NVIDIA CEO at Q2 2022 Earnings Call
I will not buy an Nvidia GPU unless it's unrealistically well-priced. $500 4080? Sure. Higher? I'll give AMD my money. Your cancerous business practices have worn me thin.

Realistically speaking, 4080 will probably have a MSRP of $899 or $999 and is going to be a massive housewire requiring a 1500W PSU due to transient power spikes. And that's without scalpers and miners. AMD will price their cards $50 lower than Nvidia's while offering slightly worse performance, because they know you have no alternatives anyway.

Can't wait for 4080.
I upgraded my pc from i5-3570k@4,4Ghz, 8GBram AMD HD7970 1080p screen
to
Ryzen5800X3D RTX3080 32GB ram 4k C1 oled
everything runs from 60 to 120 at 4k but with 4080 it should run 120fps locked at 4k everything there is.
Now i can finally play my gay dwarf fortress club at 4k 120fps

There are literally no AAA games worth playing in current year, maybe with the exception of RDR2 and TW3.

I have had an evga ftw3 3090 that I bought from step up at retail price for over half a year now. I have ddr5 ram still in the box. I do haven't built a PC out of them because these faggots can't release new GPUs and motherboards that are worth a damn for some godforsaken reason. Tired of this shit istg.
This is why I hate this industry and will buy a Chinese-designed GPU the second they become competitive.
Carson Wilson
>because these faggots can't release new GPUs meant to say new CPUs*

>4080
I'm not even going to bother upgrading. I have a 3090 that works fine on every game out there. There is nothing coming out between now and the end of 2023 that will require a 4080 or a 4090 card. I'll wait until the 5080 / 5090 series in 2024.

Are they going to reveal their AI accelerated raytracing or some shit?

I'll see what the 4090 will cost in my cunt then decide whether I should retire my 3080 10gig early. Same with zen4 & ddr5.
