Lack of budget most likely. Tekken 7 was two years arcade-only so I assume Bamco had little faith in the series after Tag 2's financial failure.

My first game of the series. Enjoyed it much more than the next two games that followed.

the mishima stuff had some pretty high budget cutscenes, a low budget fighter would have 2d stills.

For me, it's SC1.
