it was fun, and cool

blowing up bugs was the coolest shit

we're never going back to that level of primal violence in vidya again

tried replaying this, the controls are weird.

When I was a kid I noticed the violent deaths of the bugs the most. It was tasteful though in a way- halo kind of had a similar thing

Yeah she sucks me.

Their heads even make a cool thud when they're dismembered and tumble along the ground.

Why can't rare into human faces?

I always hated those early CG models

Rare has never made a good game

I mean I dunno what went wrong after this.

Is this the 100% ending to the game?

It was Ratchet and Clank before the hacks at Insomniac copied the entire fucking concept and applied modern technology, it was ahead of its time

>dat goldwood OST

It was fun but too scary for me :(

It had titty physics.

The whiole game has a 10/10 OST

I remember when I went to a friend's house because he wanted to show me the new game he got
It was Jet Force Gemini and I had to really hold back to not tell him it sucked
That's probably the day I started to hate Rare

Allegedly the game didn't start off as a violent game in early development.

I loved it, especially the multiplayer with heavy weapons. Was cool that you could be the dog too.

Weak bait, rare is beloved by the entire n64 generation. Yes they did fall off by the end of the 2000s

This, the artstyle, massive environments and the gore made me deeply uncomfortable as a kid. I want to revisit it since it has some great concepts but not with those N64 framerates

Holy shit I forgot you could be the dog.. he had skinny mode and big armor mode. I loved that shit

Nu-Rare is a hollowed out husk, the people who made the company fantastic are long gone, same could be said for Blizzard, Bioware, Valve.....

The fucking blood/gore splatters of the bugs when they got blown apart was incredibly satisfying, the way their limbs would fly apart in all directions and bounce off the floors and walls, the way the blood would noisily splat onto surfaces, I don't think I've seen other games get it like JFG.

I tried replaying this game a few years ago and gave up at a certain part. Anyone who's played knows exactly which.

Yeah, it played like ass. Though I guess you can give them some leeway considering no one knew how to do third person shooters on console at the time.
I'd rather play sin and punishment any day.

>the gulping sound effect when their heads bounds all over the places
