None of the main 4 warioland games share many similarities besides a few moves and the fact that wario can transform. The more similar games are 2 and 3 and even then they're fairly different in structure and pace.
I mean I like 4 as much as the next guy but there's nothing "perfected" from the earlier titles as far as I'd say.
