I enjoyed it back when I was a kid and I remember thinking it was extremely scary. Played it again a few years ago in VR and it was hardly scary at all and the "jumpscares" with imps spawning behind you were trivial because I almost always had the time to run near them while spawning and immediately shove a shotgun down their throat. Still I don't think the game is bad, still pretty good. It doesn't really play like classic DOOM at all though.

I liked Doom 3 a lot. It had incredible atmosphere (especially before BFG edition with the flashlight bs), fun fights and satisfying weapons. I consider it a classic like 1, 2 and 64.
