It does. I think it was my favorite game of its year and one of the few recent instances where a game was trying to say something that wasn't depressing.

>that ending
happy endings don't usually tear me up but damn

Also, anybody got any reaction images/MS paint drawings from here? I only played the game recently, I missed out on the Any Forums threads when this game was contemporary

It was really sweet, I was surprised the story was told so well.

A mad rat styled game with Toby fox music could be neat.

>a rhythm game?
>you mean like friday night funkin?

Rat God would be cuter if she looked more like an anthro instead of a human with accessories.

His music would be a poor fit for it, I'd rather leave the snes samples in snes games

Rat god would be cuter if the lying bitch wasn't rewinding time to try and kill me

Maybe that's for the best. I'm not even sure what a sequel would be like for a game like this.

Can I get into the game if I am garbage at rhythm games? Last time I played Patapon it was pretty hard for me.

I would say so, I'm pretty bad at most rhythm vidya but liked this and was able to beat it. It has much more leniency than most rhythm games because you can rewind mistakes (at a penalty) and there's a good amount of extra time to each level. Only the final boss and the level before it is particularly difficult on normal difficulty.

What's your best combo? For some reason I was able to get something like 300+ on one of the sewer levels

You say that like he couldn't grab another VST.

Doesn't really need one, NIS has been doing good making a variety of games so I'd rather see them continue to do new things.

If you could finish Patapon, this one will be easy for you.

But he doesn't seen to have a heart
