There's way too many NPCs fuck. I don't even know how to decorate most of these rooms and i dont think i even have half of the npcs yet. I wanted a bunch of wall clocks for the wrench girl but there's only grandfather clocks so that fucking SUCKS.
The furry bitch took the party girl's room but apparently that wallpaper makes animals spawn so it's better for the furry bitch anyway i guess. I dont know what to do for party girl or even half of these people i have.

The only ones not living there at the moment are the tavern dude, witch doctor, and clothier because they all ended up moving into sky islands by accident. I know I need to move witch doctor. Not sure who else prefers other biomes.
Make it a nice little village instead and spread them out for more tp targets

I spread my npc's out across the world in pairs for teleporters and best items in their shops. Each npc is just a click of the teleporter away.

Check the bestiary, the preferred biome of NPCs are on their page. You also want to pair them with people they like (for example, the guide likes the zoologist, but he hates the painter). If you get enough happiness with someone who has a shop, they will sell a pylon of that biome, which lets you teleport to other pylons in the world. After you get the pylon, you just need to have two people living near it, who it is and their happiness doesn't matter.

yeah good luck criticizing this game when terraria fans worship the concept of quantity over quality and think bloat is good.
and then a living tree house for the dryad with a smaller house growing out of it for the painter. aside from that for the most part npcs are just slapped wherever if I haven't gotten around to housing them outside of commieblocks. I have a functioning pylon in the underworld but thats just a glorified commie set up I put together to get the pylon running in the first place so it's not worth looking at.
and the only other thing I've made other than an arena in the sky that can be clentaminated into whatever biome is the main base which was just a glorified place to put my array of storage chests.
