>Literally that cool unmarried "free spirit" uncle who you adore as a kid but as you get older you start to realize he's actually tired of keeping up the facade and is growing jaded and old. >Gets reflected in the story with how Dante doesn't really seem to care about other people that much, now he's just an old man who wants to fight Vergil because that's what he did when he was young.
Did DMC5's story simply get *too real* real for some fans?
He had a chance to tap that pristine fangirl who has been thirsty since middle school.
Elijah Young
why was his song so bad?
Nathan Cooper
It wasn't, literally the best battle theme mix along with Crimson Cloud. Casey Edwards only knows how to mix singles.
Camden Russell
The band they hired literally wrote the song about Donte
Noah Roberts
You're right that he's a jaded old man who chiefly cares about fighting at this point but honestly he was kinda right that vergil had to be dealt with and he should be the one to do it and trying to keep nero out of it showed some kind of care for others
nero came in with the >this fighting is pointless!! no killing! but this was the SECOND time vergil has caused a massive demon invasion with a huge civilian body count because of "muh power" and he probably still barely feels bad about it considering the second he got to fight dante he forgot all about atonement until his ass got beat and humbled
Isaac Martinez
The old singer ruined it. New one saved it.
Matthew Adams
bit too late for that, no?
Benjamin Reyes
I set it to Devils Never Cry
Aiden Jenkins
He does feel tired and useless in this one, but it was because there was literally nothing left to do with his character. His arc was done in 3. And 4 just kinda sealed with with him finding some family he could connect with. There was absolutly nothing left to do with him. But he had to be in the game just cause. Lol they didn't even make him care Virgil was back, "well guess i better go kill that douchebag". God the story in 5 was so bad
Julian Johnson
Vergil coming back is the entire reason Dante even goes after Urizen in the first place. It's literally the thing that kickstarts Dante's journey in this game.
Parker Evans
Yea, except they failed to make it resonate on any emotional level at all. Dante literally doesn't give a shit when he find out Virgil is alive. There is no emotional reaction. The same way Nero doesn't react to finding out virgil is his dad, just stares at the floor. And Virgil doesn't react to finding out he has a son, just "wow that was a long time ago". Worst fucking writing team imaginable
Ryan Gutierrez
Retread old ground that had been done a thousand times better in 3 was not a good idea
Elijah Long
you'll get to play him for 1 mission
Charles Mitchell
ohhh that's why it's called subhuman
Jose Clark
storyfags are the bane of DMC you want a story go play a 1st party sony game, better yet go read a book
>b-but I need a story so I have a reason to play as dante over nero kill yourselves now
Brayden Hernandez
>the games have a story >they have always had stories If they are ganna tell stories the might as well be good. You are a faggot if ever I saw one
Ian Gomez
try looking in the mirror for once in your life and you'll see a faggot looking back at you faggot
