Anyone here playing this?
What is the verdict?

pirate it and find out

No. You pirate it for me.

a subtle shill, let's see how it works out

you're gonna wait a while since its on a long list. sorry user

I played the demo and it felt like shit. All these fucking souls-like meme games and they still can't make the games feel good to even move around in.

I did pirate it, but ehhh idk
I heard they took some feedback about the dodging

How could they not do this when even PS1 games figured it out?

boring because it copies devil may cry hack n slash instead of dark souls

I'm actually really liking it so far

is it really that hard to make good combat? also which of these games do you like the most? I'm balls deep into nioh 1&2 personally

Yes user, discussing a game that just releases is shilling

I tried the demo and the combat felt very sluggish and unnatural, like a Sekiro but unresponsive and without all the stuff that makes sekiro great like the top tier enemy moveset and the gorgeous presentation. There's also another soulsbornekiroring: prepare to die twice - like coming out the next month which looks far more interesting so I'm saving my money for that one.

So there are 3 things that kind of suck about it: no voice acting obviously is disappointing, the game is very brief like Mortal Shell was, and it has minimalist, soulless HUD for some reason and this triggers the fuck out of my eyeballs.

Otherwise the game is very very good, just doesn't stay long. 9/10 at the current state.

>game no one has heard from a small indie dev
you are likely either one of the devs themselves or someone who played the demo and was extremely taken with it, and are now doing it for free

Threadly reminder not to give schizoposters the attention they desire

All video games are shit.

>combat feels nice, a fan of how fast you can attack and block, minor sekiro vibes
>not a big fan of the story: alchemy + a mystery plague + diving into your character's memories with the usual vague dark souls sort of nonsense narrative.
>mediocre level design, no bugs and not exactly linear at times but nothing that will surprise you either
>mediocre boss design, not even going to bother going into detail here as i didnt finish the game yet
>no voice acting makes the world feel kind of dead imo

Nightmare Creatures 3.

It's good. I like it a lot, much faster paced than Souls with lots of options for combat (Though I think it's a small mistake to not have them available from the start.)

You can basically change your build on the fly which is nice. The devs clearly took the best parts of Bloodborne, Code Vein, Dark Souls and (especially) Sekiro and tried to blend them together. The execution might not be perfect but it's fun and lets you be pretty flexible with how you play. It's amazingly competent for indie but sometimes the cracks do form. Whenever I load into an area or exit the leveling menu, camera control is broken for a solid 5 seconds (using a PS4 controller on PC.) Sometimes executions bug out if they hit more than 2 enemies at once, causing a stunned enemy to snap out of stun early or get stuck in it indefinitely. I think it's great so far and the smaller issues can be fixed in a quickfix patch, so nothing to get worked up over.

Jank Sekiro by untalented people. Plays like shit and looks ugly.

I was kinda looking for another souls game since I already beat Code Vein. Are there any decent ones?

>+50 social credit points

The only soulsebornekiroring - like that I liked was Nioh 2, I tried playing Hellpoint and Mortal Shell but I dropped them almost immediately out of sheer boredom.

If you liked the way Code Vein approached the genre then I would really recommend this one before anything else.
Mortal Shell is nice but a bit short. There isn't much playstyle variety there but what you do get is nice.
Both Nioh games are good but calling them Souls-like is a bit of a reach.

>no voice acting
who cares?
