To be fair she wanted to kill even the people that were in tune with their emotions and the ancients and the races we met on ultima thule were meant to be reminders that, even without her the ancients would've eventually suffered their fates of either wanting to die from boredom, finding out the truth that the universe is going to end one day anyway and giving up or finding conflict somewhere in the universe and either turning to conquering or being destroyed. There are probably even worse fates that we don't even know about, the general point is that being a perfect race is great for a time and then turns south eventually.
