Only mmo I'm really looking forward to is Pantheon. From what's been presented so far it's exactly what I want. Maybe they could add more PvP and building elements into it like Shadowbane or something.
I'm hoping the look and feel of the game is enough to get a userbase that is more or less in alignment with my own desires.

They do monthly roundtables where they discuss progress. I don't track them very closely, I think the game is still 2 years out before a beta.

MMORPGs were only good when the novelty of the internet and online play was still new. These types of games are flawed on a basic level, they're massive time sinks where you just play to get stronger and better gear and there's no endgame, no goal, no final objective just farming and grinding 24/7. It's all a big Skinner box and a massive waste of time. If you still play MMORPGs to this very day there's something deeply wrong with you, fix your life.

honestly the biggest issue with MMOs these days is that the only people still interested in them are room temperature IQ which will create shitty communities that aren't fun to interact with even if the games themselves are good
