When I had my hands on the PS1, I couldn't make sense of the browser UI. With the way it's styled, I had thought that it was just an error screen that came up because I didn't put in a disc. Am also ESL so didn't know what Browse meant.

I think i discovered the bios CD player and memory card management by accident when i turned on the console without a disk.

This text in this exact format with the exact capitalization rules was a TRC requirement for PS2 games. You wouldn't pass cert if Sony's testers didn't see this text in your game. But then they released a first party game with a broken autosave function that corrupted saves all by itself. Fucking Jak X, man. It wasn't even that good.
