I'm playing the original Tomb Raider now and there's hints of that there already, like when you fall from a great height she just immediately crumples into a ragdoll or how you fall into a spike pit and she just quietly groans and slumps over. All of this set to the game's typical silence which just comes off as disquieting when you see these animations and they don't go away unless the player pushes a button to reload their save. It does kind of remind me of 2013's fascination with bloody deaths.
