F2P opens an opportunity for a fighting game to hit Fortnite/LoL numbers, both in players and spectators. Multiversus is already doing better on the Steam charts than all other fighting game debuts
How F2P will influence balance and quality will remain to be seen. I'm not optimistic but ArcSys's lobbies piss me off and I'm not ready to put any faith in Capcom yet, so a shakeup from Project L would be nice.
