the first Dying Light felt kind of like Far Cry 2 to me but I can't quite put my finger on what that is
obviously mechanically it's more like the later FC's with the minimap and all the ubisoft-esque bullshit but like
it just has a vibe, really makes me want to play Far Cry 2 and maybe if I play Far Cry 2 it'll make me wanna play Dying Light now
thematically and mechanically, it has got some similar concepts:
>mercenary dropped right into the shit
>it's got basic weapon degradation (for melee weapons only though)
>clunky gunplay that you have to learn to get good at
>infected with a weird disease that occasionally affects gameplay at certain points in the story
it just really does it for me
I like Far Cry 3 and 4 too but like they don't put me in the same mood

Far Cry 2 was never anything more than a poorman's consolized STALKER clone, so might considering playing the real deals.

Crysis runs best in dx9 mode with the mster config.
