What cRPG is the best to play these days? I want to get into the genre?

My shortlist is
Divinity Original Sin 2
Pathfinder Kingmaker
Pillars of Eternity
Baldurs Gate 3

The Chronicles of Myrtara: Archolos
Pathfinder Kingmaker
Solasta: Crown of the Magister
Underrail
Shadowrun: Dragonfall

Are those cRPGs for ants?

>posts a picture of good CRPGs
>what shit game should I play
anyways underrail, age of decadence, grimrock, expeditions, or disco elysium if you want something newer

Acanum
they hate (((gnomes))) and women are inferior

Divinity and Pillars of Eternity are fantastic. So much fun.
Pillars has some incredible lore and intesting worldbuilding.

>disco elysium
I've been playing this recently. It seems more like a point and click adventure with RPG lite mechanics rather than a true crpg.

I always go back to Neverwinter Nights. The mod community is still going strong and you can still find online servers with persistent worlds to play with others.

>I've been playing this recently. It seems more like a point and click adventure with RPG lite mechanics rather than a true crpg.
To me it is like an open ended pen and paper rpg novel.

>he posted it again

To me, it is verbal diarheaa: The """"game"""".

its unironically less verbose and up it's own ass than pillars. I suspect you are just very biased.

I like both Pillars of Eternities and it's a shame the series is dead in the water trying to go after the Skyrim meme.

Seconding the Solasta recommendation. It's pretty hardcore but I love it.

Not that user, but:
>its unironically less verbose
Only if you're counting the backer shit
>and up it's own ass than pillars
Come on, man. Pillars of Eternity isn't fucking trying to be deep. It isn't even trying to tackle communism vs capitalism. It has some existential questions in it, but nowhere near the same amount as Disco Elysium.

t. thinks both games are great

You are just baiting right? I have never seen a game that smells its own farts like disco elysium does.

BASED KRAUTS

Pillars of Eternity 1-2
Expeditions Rome
Dragon Age Origins
Tyranny
Divinity Original Sin 2
Shadowrun Dragonfall
Black Geyser
All of these games are pretty good entry points in to the genre

have either of you even played DE? fucking brainlets always go right for the political characatures, which are part of the setting. its about one man's personal journey from the depth of rock bottom, shaped in full by player choices. idiots who cry muh politics didnt have anything in their mind but politics to begin with.

there is a 10 minute long speech in the game

>have either of you even played DE?
Yes. Quit about after I jumped some kind of balkony near the hanged guy. Its just pretentious verbal diarheaa and a midwit filter for those that think "pretentious verbal diarheaa=smart".

oh good, you played long enough to still get a refund, so you're in a position to comment any further than "i got filtered", right? its fine if you didn't like it, but your cope is as midwit as the strawman assertion of why people enjoy it

I don't know if i would consider Archolos a cRPG but its an excellent action RPG and probably the best game released in 2021. Also agree on the reccomendations for Kingmaker and Shadowrun: Dragonfall, Underrail was good but not amazing.
