did we decide if this was a good game or not yet

It's not but that's not going to stop people from claiming it is for the foreseeable future.

we decided it's shit

It's a fantastic game and only nintendo haters and eldenfags and such would claim otherwise because they can't stand anyone enjoying a game from the genre their game is in because they're idiots.

I'm the arbiter of all that is good. It sat with me for a couple days after finishing and made me wish I wiped my mind so I could enjoy all over again. Only the best games have ever done this.

there won't be consensus until the sequel comes out so that defenders of that game are able to know whether something improved on later was always shit in this game all along even though they never said it

ER is good, but it'll never be great because half of the people (or more?) who got it didn't even complete it.

user I don't have much time, it's actuall

I got bored 50 to 60 shrines in

It's a neat physics demo with and empty world and shitty minigames, That's about it.

I agree it's good, but there are a lot of people who get offended if their game is mentioned close to BoTW. Just like Nioh fans will sperg out at any mention of souls games. It's just a bunch of retards.
I play all of them and enjoy all of them, each for different reasons.

It's not a good Zelda game which isn't really saying that much since the latter Zelda games haven't been all that good.
In terms of being an open world game it is largely a tech demo which is really only an improvement over modern open world games because they are horribly bloated.
The game clearly had a lot of incompatible mechanics stripped out with no reworks or replacements, got some very low effort content and was shoved out of the door as a multiplat to enable them to delay their rework of the main game for Switch (Which is probably going to be horribly bloated since they keep delaying it),

It seems almost likely that it would have been a Wii U showcase game and the whole "Oh no you've been asleep for 100 years" bit was just so they could reuse all their old cutscenes where Zelda was still the game's companion and not just the princess you save at the end.

It has a solid physics engine but that's about it.

Who are you trying to convince? Its almost 2023.

Critical acclaim has always meant absolutely nothing since it's swayed more by marketing and brand name recognition than quality.

The primary content in the game consists of shrines, koroks and divine beasts which are pretty much just low effort filler.
The only way for shrines to be more lazy is if all the blocks were still textured with standard unit measurements.
To compound the issue they didn't put any effort into developing replacements for the ex-showcase mechanics they were going to use so most of the game's mechanics are stretched very thin or are very janky.
Navigating a menu to pile things in your hand makes less sense when there is no real time menu.

>'ick on 'eck micropenis fatass thinks his insults matter.

(((critics)))

If you ignore all the mentally ill snoy trannies and ACfag its pretty clear Any Forums likes this game, rightfully so

Critical acclaim on its own is subjective. But when you have a sustained outpouring of acclaim from every fucking corner of the industry you might have to concede your opinion doesn't stack up.

This just nonsense and proof that you didn't understand the game at all. BotW is a huge open world adventure where you are given a single task: save the princess. The entire game is about you figuring out how to do this all on your own.

You are completely free to go anywhere and do anything, in a world where topographical navigation is gamifed and the world is constantly in change forcing you to adpat to it and use it to your advantage. You have the freedom and agency to create your own solutions to advertersity using your wits and resources.

Its literally the greatest adventure game ever made. The sheer about of fun and diversity of gameplay ideas created experience which was utterly unique in 2017. Its one of best designed video games ever made. A Video Game in the truest sense and offers a glimpse of the future.

If you don't like it then thats a YOU problem. You are going to wake up every day in a world where people far more educated and versed in game design than you will keep calling it a masterpiece. Hope thats ok with you?

And here's ACfag now with his typical falseflag strategies
Nobody here is dumb enough to fall for it, Doug.

No game will ever top BotW for the amount of ass-sting it caused.
