The wait for updates has reached a completely absurd level. They were supposed to release the smaller animals and crafting update as a stepping stone to NPC update that would lift the game to a completely new level. The problem is that 8 months later they still seemingly aren't even close to releasing the smaller the update. Considering that, how long will the NPC update take them?
Sure, the MP player update for the latest build took forever, but their excuse for that was that they had rebuilt the entire game and that future updates would be much faster.

Yeah, I first pirated the game like ten years ago or something and then followed the development on and off until today so I know about most of the strange things that have happened. The thing is that it seemed like they'd gotten their shit together somewhat before and around the time of the latest multiplayer release and the momentum surrounding that. But instead it seems like they've gone back into hibernation.
It's like whenever you think the game has stopped being just a meme it quickly returns back to that state.
If the engine or whatever is so hard to work with, shouldn't they have used the opportunity of the rebuild to move to a different platform?

Consider survival IRL. Food, water, shelter. There you’re done. You literally cant add more to survival without just making more random checks. Yes there’s zombies. Its why survival games are only fun in the very beginning. Same with apocalyptic movies. To extend the amount of hours squeezed out of these games you literally have to crank up the difficulty so much that it would become overwhelming for the players and majority would just quit. PRZ is a joke once you have a few hours in and understand the zombies, or even alter the settings.
