Why is it seemingly so hard to make a good vampire game?

I really hate it when vampires have teeth like that. Its your canine teeth that are supposed to be vampire fangs.
>vampire girl dating simulator
There, easy.
Same, but Ijust got whatever image off of google.
I challenge you to name 1 (ONE) good vampire game
NOTE: No VtM or Bloodrayne allowed. We all like and have already played those games. Find something else
because vampires are canonically weak as fuck and die to 1000 different things unlike most other monsters
>there is just one, singular vampire canon
You could easily handwave all the stupid shit like garlic or dying to sunlight. Hell, several movies already have done that.
>you could easily just get rid of all the negatives until they are no longer vampires except in name
yeah my point still stands
>literal embodiment of death commanding you to turn back from single handedly storming a castle infested with demons, monsters, a lich and your own dad
>"I will not"
How did they manage to make the long haired, leather clad, high heel wearing, androgynous looking Alucard be the biggest balled badass in SotN?
It's the same for Vampire Hunter D, intial impression is the guy looks and dresses like a homo but he's super fucking cool.
God Robert Belgrade's voice is cool.
Nosgoth
perfected and never surpassed
Gamuts of reasons.
>Going with the retarded Hollywood weaknesses
Dracula even in his own book wasn't a weakass like that. He walked in sunlight perfectly fine despite it weakening him. He could still throw grown-up men as if they were rag-dolls.
*NOT
Are you one of those "it's not a dragon, it's a wyvern" people?
>dracula was a vampire
lol
May I also mention that that Dracula wasn't the same as Vlad? Dracula clearly says that he was his ancestor.
I don't think the subject of vampires particularly increases the failure rate. Most games are shit.
They suck
God you have absolutely no aesthetic sense do you? I bet you're one of the kinds of people who writes fantasy to be "subversive" and "break expectations"
> I challenge you to name 1 (ONE) good vampire game
Certainly a challenge, however I think it can b-
>NOTE: No VtM or Bloodrayne allowed
Are you insane? You wish me to flip a coin and have it land on the edge?
>I challenge you to name 1 (ONE) good vampire game
Vampire the Masquerade Swansong. I personally think everyone's gonna pretend they always liked it when it releases on Steam next year.
Vampiric creatures have existed for millennia and across dozens of cultures. Do you think they're all the same and have never changed? It's not about being "subversive", it's about not using the dogshit and boring contemporary version of the vampire.
>my vampires die to onionbeans and are incapacitated by rice and spices
you shouldn't have all the weaknesses going full blast all the time or else it just gets silly
its easy actually
I know you said no VtM but seriously VtM: Bloodhunt.
It's stuck in a cancer Battle Royale format but I'll be damned if it wasn't a seriously well-made and fun game.
Fuck Apex and Fortnite for being such mammoths that any competitor naturally dies within weeks.
the only problem is that low blood tends to make people generally less competent at everything except dying
>no Jiangshi game
Fuck this gay earth, devoid of hopping vampiric undead.
Skyrim
Get fucked.
you mean modded right?
does she count
Call them disease demons then if you want to make disease demons. If you want to use a regional vampire myth that isn't basically bram stoker's original donut steel which became what is colloquially understood by the word "vampire" then use another word. Every single culture in the world has a story about blood suckers so you should be able to find one that fits your aesthetic.
