What fighting games should I play

Ones that you think are cool and have a decent population.

If you are interested in T7, play it. There are lots of people of all levels on PC. Its not like most where you are constantly matched with Demigods.

What do you like?

I played tekken already actually, and bunch of other fgs and 2d ones are kinda boring to me, can you suggest any 3d ones? Already played doa and tekken

>free DLC being given out
>listening to players and letting people toggle auto combos
>nerfing shield
>redoing combo routes
There may be hope yet. I may pick this up next month. Only recently played AACC with some friends and it's really good.

3D is less popular than 2D so there isn't much
Obviously theres SC6 but its dead online
If you have a Playstation you can Play Virtua Fighter 5
Fightcade on PC has Virtua Fighter 4 (i think with rollback)
Fightcade is currently beta testing ps1 games so soon we will get Bloody Roar 2 and Bushido Blade 2

Forget about SC6, played it too actually, single player stuff is pure boredom and online is sadly dead yeah, shame there's not much else

Theres also Project justice. But that's really dead. Shame its really fun

Damn it looks pretty cool

Wait until SF6 and Tekken 8

tekken 4/5

I'll get to them after clearing arcade in 3 and maybe tag1

I think if anyone is waiting for those games then they should start playing Tekken 7 and SFIV/SFV now. Especially if they are not as familiar

OP probably already plays them tho based off of his replies but to any other canons reading, learn the basics now

>tfw made the mistake of buying my fighting games on PS4
I-I’ll just play vs. bots I guess…..

Aren't they supposed to be the biggest on ps4?

Ha you would think that but its not true. Theres a reason they don't post player counts. Console fighting games are potemkin villages. Also console players arent worth playing against. I have no interest in playing someone on a console with input lag, a Wi-Fi connection, and a Bluetooth controller

if you want an experience thru a historical and sequential perspective start with Yie-Ar Kung Fu and Karate Champ, just play these for maybe 15 minutes to an hour, no need to be serious about beating them. Mike Tysons Punch-Out is also worth examining even if it's more of a single player game. Next try out Street Fighter 1 just to see understand how it felt like. Street Fighter 2 the World Warrior or Champion Edition should then be taken a little more seriously. Use a charge command input character like Guile or Blanka, and then move on to the other characters with roll motion inputs. Once you learn Street Fighter 2 inputs most fighting games become much more easier to understand and you can pick and chose in various orders after.

Test

SFV:CE. Simultaneously the best fighting game of the PS4 era and will prepare you to the (seemingly) best fighting game of the PS5 era, SF6.

tried Tekken but it's slow as ever
just not my style i guess

Try VF4 evo or 5fs or ultimate then

MK11.

tekken 3 and tag are supposed to be coming to fightcade in the near future. virtua fighter is pretty much dead unless you organize a match.

tekken is ok if you want to mash but if you want to play at an intermediate level it's really hard to get into, lot of brute force knowledge checks you have to grind out. You need to look at it like you're starting a long term hobby.
