Nothing wrong with it.

great console. great games. anyone that says otherwise has no opinions of their own.

Yeah, nintendo fans are kind of dumb.

I have a Wii U never got a Switch

Unironically it had better first-party game releases than the Wii or the Switch.

I miss Miiverse.

I guess I'll be that guy. I had a GameCube. Skipped the wii. Got a Wii u Mari kart 8 bundle on a whim and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Playing the Mario Galaxy games and the RE4 Wii port were part of my Wii u experience, as was Metroid prime trilogy. Lego City Undercover was great. Xenoblade X is one of my favorite games ever. Bayonetta 2 was cool. I loved the way the wiiu tablet was used in the windwaker and twilight princess remakes. They gimped that functionality in the Wii u version of BOTW (despite the game being obviously designed around it) because otherwise it would be inherently superior to the switch version. Good Marios 2 and 3d. Rayman had awesome use of the tablet for co-op. There's plenty to like about the Wii u if you had it at the time. Switch ports made a lot of that obsolete, but that's the nature of things. I still keep mine plugged in up in my office.

The fact it didn't sell better is a travesty.

Same.

If you hacked one you would understand

Blame the marketing department. Aside for not being truly portable I liked its setup way better than the Switch.

more durable hardware than Switch, better online features, has most of the first party titles because the first four years of Switch was spent backporting all the good games and upcharging on them, way better UI for Mario Maker, more insular community less full of fags and trenders, better BOTW performance, HD Zeldas and superior virtual console.

Unfortunately. The only games worthwhile are Xenoblade X, Zelda WW &TP, and the definitive way to play SM64 (DS with anal log mod).

Wii U had a great library for the number of years it was active and many ported games are still better on Wii U
That said at the moment it has like four exclusives worth giving the remotest shit about and I hear Xenoblade X emulates well

yes. the wii u had no games, is a miserable console to use, even the process of starting it up is unpleasant, and every part about it is off putting and fake. It's worthless. Nintendo's last good console was the wii, and that was only good because of third parties.

The only thing I don’t like about it is the controller will go dead even when you don’t use it

Retard

damn right I am, I bought a Wii U in 2013. I know first hand how fucking bad it is.

Great retro machine. Better VC than switch. Emulation is worse than the Wii's, but customizable controls outweigh that con.

>Splatoon
>Xenoblade Chronicles X
>BOTW
>Super Mario 3D World
>Pikmin 3
>ZombiU

Wii U was fucking choice. Still have mine and still love it. I even played through Mass Effect 3 on it and they did an awesome job porting and integrating the Wii U gamepad with it. People who shit on the Wii U either didn't own one or simply didn't try out enough games

That's how I feel about Teslas. And every other controller and device ever.

>3rd parties
>wii
What are you on about? There's like Madworld, Zack and Wiki, and maybe Sonic Colors. Anyone who talks about the Wii talks about its first party titles

Nothing to apologize for, despite the bad sales the console had pretty good games, my only complaints about it is how the first switch games where ports from wii u, I had no real reason to buy it until way later, and it's funny good the gamepad is compared to the fucking joycons who drift like nothing.

I don't even get why that's a thing honestly, it's not impossible to have a battery powered device NOT drain the battery while it's not in use. Something like a GBA SP or a DS fat can go years without the battery losing its charge, it should be the same for shit like a WiiU gamepad.

Its a solid console to own, has decent first party games if you want to play them as they were intended, an installed Wii virtual console with everything good that comes with a Wii and its good DS emulation machine.
Solid console, but it just simply couldn't compete in any aspect with the other consoles of the time. Still a better hardware than the switch

It was a way better console than people made it out to be, definitely the worst in its generation but it had good first party games.

Detective mode in Arkham City also used the tablet in that augmented reality way. And those resident evil revelation games. The tablet was dope in principle, and it's a shame the switch had to nike the dual screen potential

I loved playing Splatoon and Tropical Freeze on it.

3D World and SMTxFE were a bust.

My wii-u still gets played. I got it to be our zelda system before the Eshop went down. We bought every zelda title and my wife loves it. She is currently replaying Twilight princess.

I forgot Tropical Freeze!! That was the best platformer of the entire generation, and easily the best DKC game ever.

the best third party lineup on a nintendo console since the snes. Fucking kneel.

it's kind of shit now, but the wii and gamecube functionality makes it worth keeping if you have one.

3D World was great imo. What were your issues with it? Splatoon on release was something else though. I'm not a big fan of multiplayer games but man Splatoon was special. The drawings and waiting for new levels was so much fun. Ranked ruined the magic imo stopped playing as much after that

So Wii U e shop doesn't exist anymore? Is there anyway to get games like Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess on it now or only through physical copies?

NTA but damn if that is one solid list, thanks for the recs bro.
Damn, stuff in here i didn't even know it existed.

People stopped defending it the moment NX/Switch rumors started at which point retards were throwing around buzzwords like "1080p@60fps!"
Funny because WiiU games were plagued by the Wii.
Most games had to be playable with the Wiimote which was retarded in the first place.

>Damn, stuff in here i didn't even know it existed.
Nobody does, the Wii has the most under appreciated library of any Nintendo console despite being their best one in a long fucking time.

cursed mountain

I wish the switch had third party support imagine playing cod on the go

At least you admit your retardation I guess

If you own a Wii U you are a retard, simple as. You're extra retarded if you have a wii u emulator on your PC because that means you sought OUT the wii u experience like a fucking mongoloid.

Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker is another good one that uses the tablet well

>and every part about it is off putting and fake
>and fake
Your entire post is retarded and your opinion is shit but I'm very curious about this. Fake?
What the FUCK are you talking about here? How can a console be "fake"?

>A Shadow's Tale
>Arc Rise Fantasia
>The Calling
>Dead Space Extraction
>Deadly Creatures
>Fragile Dreams
>Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law
Wii was great for oddball gems like these. Cursed Mountain and The Conduit also come to mind, along with some of those WiiWare games like Onslaught and LIT.

This ain’t even the whole list
Wii maybe the second most unfairly maligned console library

He's just a grouch.

it's fake & gay lmao

wii's pointer, while a leagues worse than traditional light guns at least retains some of the experience which makes it far better than the fucking faggot gaycube, wii u and nintendo shitch.

it's just non-nintendo games and not even all of them. I didn't even mention the dog island.

>a ton of low budget Japanese shlock and a couple of fucking Dragon Ball games
Lol. Only one I'll give you is Tatsunoko vs Capcom. That is fantastic and deserves a modern day port.

I -think- you can still buy things but you can't add funds with a credit card in the shop itself, you would have to buy one of those dumb cards.

Yes, I'm very sorry I bought one
