I have never paid full price for a video game and never will.

Me neither. Especially whatever AAA tripe has been coming out lately. Japanese mainstream and western indie games are the only new games worth playing since like 2015.

Astroid. It's the only game my 60 year old dad has fond memories of. That and playing Halo CE multiplayer with me and my brother as a kid.

Games have gone down in price pretty consistently over time. It's inflation that makes the number higher now than it used to be. The actual value that you pay is less than when you were a kid.

That's why I wait 6-12 months for the developer to realize it's not worth that much and then I get it for 75% off.
Not every game needs to be 30+ hours anyways. Part of the reason why the industry is shit right now.
