If you were sent 30 years into the past with all your current knowledge, how would you make Sega the #1 console developer in the industry?
a buncha games you've probably seen listed 10k more times before this.
Just stop their idiotic plan to increase the genesis lifespan with addons.
buy call options on cisco and use the proceeds to invest billions in the company
Since it's 1992, I sadly can't delay the GEN/MD to 1990 so that I can get the damn thing better color display. Real problem is that there is a metric shitton of problems with SEGA even then, so:
>the SEGA CD, 32X, Nomad, and Model 3 are never made
>no theme parks are made
>the Saturn is released worldwide in 1995 NOT in a panic response to the Jaguar
>there is no Saturn Day
>Bernie Stolar is never hired
>threaten to terminate both SoA and SoJ higher ups if they keep sabotaging the company
>DO NOT promote that hack Yuji Naka
>no completely retarded rushed and undocumented architecture
>memory card slots and backwards compatibility with the GEN
>the Saturn controller is now a little bigger to accommodate twin analog sticks
>Sonic Mania is made in 1995-6 on the Saturn to satiate fans until Sonic Adventure
>make it an absolute priority to get the shit that wasn't imported overseas, overseas, like the entirety of CAPCOM's library
>make a revised Game Gear that isn't bulky as shit, and more importantly can run on 2 AA batteries instead of 6
>also sell a rechargeable battery pack/AC Adaptor for $20-$30
>Dreamcast is now released in 2000 instead of 1998, with an even stronger library and DVD format instead GD-ROM, but more importantly, ISN'T hemorrhaging nearly as much money
>Shenmue is never made
>assuming the Game Gear wasn't a failure in this timeline, release a follow-up to it that absolutely shits on the GBC and even the soon to be released GBA in 2000
Redpill me on Naka
Sega Marine Fishing
Programmer for Sonic 1. Had/has a MASSIVE overinflated ego that went into overdrive when Sonic 1 was a critical success.
Pulled a Con Man by crediting himself as the creator of Sonic when that was Naoto Ohshima.
Would constantly take credit for others work and sabotage others, most notably during the production of the cancelled Saturn Sonic games.
Was always a difficult person to work with, but since he was promoted to a prominent position in the company, was basically untouchable.
Refused to let anyone use the NiGHTs engine, especially gaijins.
Hated gaijins, was one of the persons responsible for SoA/SoJ infighting, and was the reason why Peter Moore, then President of Sega of America walked out after literally telling Naka to go fuck himself.
Took all the way until Balan Wonderworld's release for the world at large to see him as the hack he really is.
you already know
>tell them to release the dreamcast with 2 thumbsticks
>also tell them to make halo and xbox live 2 years ahead of schedule
ez pz
Border Down
Psyvariar 2
Zero Gunner 2
Gunbird 2
Mars Matrix
Giga Wing 1 & 2
Bangai-O
put your setup through some good sound system or listen to the sound through headphones, because the disk spinning noise is annoying, or is it fan noise?? Crazy Taxi and Soul Caliber Sonic Adventure, and Shenmue are classics.
the essential would be the console itself to sell and buy a ps2
>fandom
get with the times ojisan

>no Giga Wing
>no Psyvariar 2
>no Ikaruga
>no Zero Gunner 2
>no Border Down
Whoever made that list needs to redpill themselves and branch out. At least they listed Mars Matrix and Banga-O, but c'mon now... Border Down and Psyvariar 2 in particular are arguably the best shmups on the system, and the former is held captive on it.
If you think a game should be on the list, add it. Or at least put a note before the table of games asking someone less lazy to write about the games you listed.
Thanks, famicom. As it turns out, clicking "Japan" shows all of those (except Giga Wing, oddly enough; weird since that was localized) and more.
I also added a note at the top of the page that it lacks GW 1 & 2. Thanks again.
Do nothing because they deserved to die
>Dreamcast is now released in 2000 instead of 1998, with an even stronger library and DVD format instead GD-ROM, but more importantly, ISN'T hemorrhaging nearly as much money
Do you think the Japanese userbase would've been happy waiting four years for a home version of Virtua Fighter 3, or worse yet, having that impossible Saturn port Sega claimed they were going to make actually release? They already had to slap together Fighters Megamix to buy time. What else would they do in the meantime, VF Kids 2?
>Dont release the 32X
>Get GOOD sports games on Saturn
>Finish Sonic Saturn one way or the other
>make sure the Saturn US gets all the good Japanese games + 4MB cart etc.
>release Dreamcast with Voodoo chip and 2-thumb stick controller
Basically just keep Saturn viable for longer and make Dreamcast a bit more powerful.
