short & shallow. didn't fully commit to either the roguelite or basebuilding elements so it ended up a milquetoast combination of both

i kind of like the short and shallowness, to be honest. it made it a well-paced experience for the time you have in it, and the systems are in-depth and related enough to make it feel like there's a balance to strike.

i like it :)

Time should progress just a tad slower. While there's no reason to rush, it still feels shit to waste an entire day, night to night, on a dungeon run
Weapons are pretty shit honestly, so are most curses.
Rituals should give you a rough estimate as to how effective they are. The collect gold one is downright broken, giving around 1k with maybe 10 to 15 decently leveled followers for just a tiny bit of faith loss
Fleeces are dumb, the only worthwhile fleece is the purple one
At some point, my followers simply stopped working. Granted I was almost done with the game it didn't matter much, but it still sucks
All in all, too same-y, but the aesthetic is nice

im glad you enjoyed it user. aside from the short playtime (cleared in just under 15 hours) i also enjoyed my time with it. just wish there was more under the surface.

I got a game breaking bug that locked my divine inspiration at tier 2 so I dropped it (plundered copy). But i liked it

yeah, i can definitely agree with that. i wish there was a bit more to the cult's systems themselves, especially when it comes to doctrines. i was really hoping the way you shape your cult's doctrines had more of an effect on their attitude or aesthetic than just some bonuses you get.
that being said, my guys look adorable when they're enjoying their little sabbath so i got over it quickly.

>NPCS eating shit represents the player consuming a poor game made by racists

After all, you are the NPC that bought this shit game

Very charming. I'm enjoying most of what it does considering I am pretty content with games not needing to be genre defining crazy leaps every time. Its doing its own little thing and its pretty fun.

However, the difficulty is a big problem and I can't pretend its not bothering me. Normal difficulty is insanely easy and hard is so ass fuckingly brutal that you can't leave camp for 10 minutes without nearing a fail state. It needs a balancing batch or something.

It's fun, but I'm not in the condition to keep playing it for now. I more sick than I've ever been before, I think, so I play more chill games, specifically Disco Elysium. Talking to Idiot Doom Spiral while shivering in agony really added to the experience.

>nooooooo don't make my job as a shill harder!

Roguelite part: mediocre but the bare minimum of acceptable where it was still fun to play and not a total chore
Base building part: very bad, some of the worst base building I've seen in a game. Outhouse should have been a tier 0 upgrade so you can get it immediately. Cultists should have been able to gather from farms immediate without needing an upgrade, either that or make the picking animation much shorter. Items collected by cultists should have just ALL gone to the top chest, not to all these individual chests. It's also retarded that there isn't an upgrade to make your cultists cook food themselves.
I know it's not really the case, but it FEELS like you're spending half your time in the base sweeping up shit and vomit (even after getting a janitor and outhouses), holding A until a circle fills a few dozen times to pick berries, and repairing broken shit. Heres another thought, why isn't there an upgrade so your cultists fix broken things on their own?

This game is 100% carried by the great artstyle and aesthetic choices. Its still a fun playthrough but just so much obvious fuck ups from a design standpoint

It's a bit overpriced, but I'm enjoying it

considering how many of the same images you've relentlessly spammed in all of the current threads I would say you'd make a much better shill, maybe you should apply

I can't believe people accept this racism.

The basic ability to assign jobs to cultists would go a long way and add some much needed decision-making and management. The cultists pretty much just manage themselves. I don't have a farmer, whoever is closest will do it, only one per plot tho :^) oh and good luck trying to manage what is grown where. I don't have a builder, they'll all do it. Nothing to do? Auto-worship time. Without this, there's no trying to balance for productivity and it means they need to have other limiters on gathering: such as having to constantly rebuild mines and wood-whatevers. It also makes death, sickness, and other debilitators something you don't really need to pay attention to. Add aging speed and the need to walk up and interact with every levelup/inspire/bless and it isn't worth levelling your cultists anymore either. They're all the same. Really, the simple ability to assign a cultist as a lumberjack, farmer, whatever would have a wonderful butterfly effect on making things matter much more.
