pretty comfy if you like gyro

personally, i have a lot of issues getting it to work more then half the time. And i've only had the damn thing for six months, rarely use, already drifting a little

probably the worst out of the modern controller lineup. Not having analogue triggers and the stiff dpad really only makes it serviceable for platformers and some other niche genres

dpad sucks

I would ever so strongly recommend DualSense instead.

I use the ps5 controller

It's a terrible controller.
The fact that when I use the radial menu in Rise with it and if I let go, it'll smack back and choose the item opposite of what I was selecting shows how garbage it is.

For just steam games? Great, the support for it is fantastic.

For anything outside of steam? Good fucking luck. Betterjoy for Cemu works for like 80% of stuff outside of steam with some work, but some stuff just refuses to cooperate.

Also just beware the very first time connecting it to a PC can be total pain in the ass. Windows can just refuse to recognize it and its pure luck to get it working. Once it does get working once though it'll work every time.

Increase the deadzone a tiny bit, nigga. Every single modern controller has snapback, its not Procon exclusive.

its not that bad but its not that good either and its buttons and analog are shit
also quite expensive cause nintendo price
better off buying one of those third party shits

It's a shit controller. The shoulder buttons can give a tactile click without pressing the button, the dpad is garbage and the triggers aren't analog. You have much better options, I don't know why retards shill this turd.

Mine is a piece of shit. The dpad constantly gets unwanted diagonals (I’ve tested it it’s not fat fingering the thing is just imprecise) and the R button takes extra force to register (like my 3ds used to after year).
Would not recommend.

this. i have a lot of trouble getting it to work most of the time

i bought one of these knock off xbox one controllers for around 20 bucks and i've had it for 8 months. detachable cable, analog triggers, decent feel to it. the d pad isn't the greatest and the sticks yellowed already but if you don't mind that it's surprisingly good and worked out of the box

How is the Dualsense dpad? From what little I've read it's seemingly mushier and softer than the one from the DS4, which doesn't sound too great

This was default settings on the switch and I'm already playing it on PC with my comfy DS4 controller so I don't need to worry about it anymore

No they’re just shit. Google switch pro controller dpad

Is the GuliKit KingKong 2 Pro Controller a meme or actually good?

The dpads are shit for anything precise, yes, but that wasnt what I was talking about. If I need a good Dpad for a platformer I use my 8bitdo pro.

Its not bad, but know that you will either need applications that build in their own driver/support (ie some emulators do this native) or an external (ideally open source) third party one like DS4Windows or BetterJoy. Steam has support for it and will basically handle everything including compatibility with XInput for games that expect it; Steam is by far the most comprehensive application that builds in the driver/support for it.

On the hardware itself its decent - it has gyro if you need it, but no analog triggers (rare, but if you play driving games or some other stuff you may need these). Overall it can work fine, but many prefer the DualSense which has more advanced haptics, the same gyro, and needs to be managed by Steam et al the same way. Its really up to you. Xbox Series (gen 4) or for the excellent Elite S2 controllers are another option provided you don't mind the lack of gyro.

The digital triggers are the biggest weakness. I encountered enough games where they had trouble that I ended up getting one of the later revisions of the XBONE controller.

If you can get one of those licensed Sega Saturn or Genesis/Mega Drive controllers USB or wireless controllers for 2D games, they're pretty solid.

only Steam have full support. The EA launcher, the Rockstar one, Epic, Gog; ignore all inputs.

This. Is all you need
Don't fall for the 80 dollar dualsense meme, pointless without ps5
