Build and defend settlements.

base building, side quests, nuka world, far harbor, building a robot waifu, installing degenerate coomer mods, etc

Scourge the wasteland for gazillion resources and build up your setllement while micromanaging the braindead AI and do repetitive radiant quests so you can build more useless shit.
Isn't that what you always wanted in a fallout game you ungrateful fuck?

Hunt down glue and screws so you can put a scope on your gun.

Nothing that really matters especially when you get to the point that your armor and weapons are better than anything you'll ever find unfortunately. I don't even know what's the point of the legendary enemies who give you nothing but shit items. There's radiant quests, but it's boring to go to places you've already explored again and again.

The game offers little at the end of the play through. building settlements is cool, but it is pretty low-stakes throughout the game, so if you haven't built a big settlement at each workbench, there is really no point to do it once you beat the campaign and the side missions.

I thought the game was fun overall though.
>t. don't care about relationships in video games and mash the spacebar through all talking

>main story
I have over 600h in that game, Dangerous Minds is the last main story quest I ever done and that's only because one of loyalty missions require it, there is absolutely no reason to ever bother with main story.

There are settlements that need your help, I'll mark them on your map

>Check the workshop menu
>settlements are complaining about not having enough stuff
>Go there
>Turns out nothing is wrong and the workshop menu is back to normal

And that's when I stopped caring about settlements.

So you’ve never beaten it even once? How can you say it’s shit?

Am I the only one who just gets on fallout 4 every weekend and does this mindlessly while listening to podcast and leveling up just so I can use my skill points to get through all the “must have” perks my brain tells me I need like master lockpicking, master terminal hacking, all of the armor/weapon/settlement building perks so then I can start getting fun perks like bloody mess and unarmed buffs

Explore the map and the dungeons
Some of them have interesting stories in them told through audio-logs and terminal entries

>damage perks for pistols, semi auto rifles, fully auto, heavy weapons, explosives, ect all with 4-5 perk tiers

who the fuck though this amount of redundancy and clutter was a good idea? I miss when it was just small guns, big guns, energy weapons

are there mods to make the base building and looting more fun like 76 but weithout the fucking retarded online shit

Wacky! missions such as helping a ghoul kid stuck in a fridge for 200 years, or helping a flying rocket boat crewed by old timey robots! So wacky!

Fallout 4 has the best companions in the series
Yes, better than New Vegas

Side quest, I like exploring.

>Fallout 4 has the best companions in the series
Well there's Nick and................ the dog. Very cool

Wrong. 3 does everything better than any Fallout game. 4 is a close second though.

It really is strange because you pretty much just pick one and level that up exclusively so all other types of weapons become pretty much useless in a game that's supposed to be all about finding new weapons.

I know nothing about the companions in 4.

Piper is okay and Curie is fun for having a sexy voiced robot around that with the Automotron DLC you can turn into a sexy gynoid.

Ah, the BLM mantra.

in 3 and new vegas you can pick up a weapon and regardless of your skill it will still be usable at the very least because only like a third of its true damage potential is from your weapon skill and perks

in fallout 4, if you have a pistol that does 20 damage, you can get it to 40 if you have got 4 levels of the gun nut perk, then if you have 5 ranks of the pistol perk you can get it to double again

so that means if you don't have the perks your base damage is 25% of what it would be. its retarded especially in regards to guns

>nuka world
>playing as a sarcastic "bad" guy
>go through very shitty nuka world dlc
>wonder what happens if you plays as a nice guy
>just mindless killing, no quests or anything

I was going through the wiki and I realized that almost every fucking dungeon has like 7 radiant quests attached to it. no wonder fallout 4 dungeons are so souless

kekd

A 'gun skill' that just straight up increases your damage with that weapon type is kind of daft anyway

A rifle fired by an expert marksman or one fired by an unskilled novice will inflict the same damage when it hits something

Skill should improve things like handling, accuracy, reload speed
