Every time I try to play vidya he sits on my keyboard

My cat does this whenever I try to play guitar, bass or piano. I guess either because I suck at them all or she just wants attention. She lays on my lap and sleeps when I play vidya though.

My cat, which my brother found as a 6 week old stray, never wants to cuddle with me anymore. Then I had to put a sweet stray cat down since it had FIV and the vet said it wouldn't be safe for our cat to be around them. I really hate myself.

That's what I seem to found out later, but I just feel so betrayed that someone I trusted didn't tell me full options and was just "they could live for a few months to 10 years but when they get sick that is it". I loved that cat so much I have been in mostly in bed all week since then and I am in shock and feel like a monster. I'm just feel alone and just don't want to leave my house anymore.

Am I doing the wrong thing by treating my cat quite harshly when I get mad at her? I don't physically hit her but if I hear her scratching my furniture I'll roar really loudly like an animal (somewhat unintended) and throw her out the door if I get mad. (I live in the sticks so she's used to it)

I feel a bit bad about it but I also quite like how she knows she's not supposed to do that.

Also the vet never mentioned anything about false positives, so if I knew that then I never would of done what I did. Then I called the vet assistant the day after in tears and they said "oh no if they tested positive then they had it".

I got my cat when he was a month old and ever since whenever he does something bad I let him know by giving him a quick hiss
I remember reading that mom cats hiss at their kittens to let them know not to do stuff and he seems to get that message when ive done it to him over the last couple of years
It'll get him to stop what he's doing but it doesn't scare him or make him run away or anything, and you don't have to be very aggressive with it
