Resident Evil 7 is a masterpiece and retards who say RE8 is just "more of the same" are just as retarded as people who say RE6 is just "more of the same" of RE4.

idk but i watched a playthrough of both and 7 did look like a lot more fun. the silliness of 8's plot was entertaining but the first hour or so of 7 is an actual horror game unlike 99% of 8.

I'll admit 7's great DLCs do push it slightly above 8, and Shadow of Rose doesn't look very interesting so it will probably stay that way

RE7 is one of those games that are more than the sum of their parts. As a complete package RE7 is a better survival horror than every other RE, other than maybe RE1 remake. I like 7 the best after 1 just because of the scare factor. It is legit creepy and scary at times.

As a longtime fan of the series I hate how people say RE7 didn't have any "soul" or "personality". It's quite possibly the most personal and intimate installment since 1 and 2.

There is so much love put into this game that most people just brush off. People say it's like "Amnesia" or "Outlast" as an insult, but it genuinely feels like an AAA indie game, and that's kind of incredible.
