Ok you convinced me, I’m going to replay this kino today.

Can someone spoil this game for me? I played it for like 4 hours but got bored. It's so slow and there's no reward for solving each chapter because every mystery leads into another mystery leads into another mystery. It got old fast and no coherent story was beginning to form.

Why are they like this?

do you understand the concept that if you don't find the story engaging you don't have to keep playing?
finding out more is the reward dumbass

You are a dumb fucking nigger

>4 hours
Don't be a fag and go finish it. One playthrough is around 6 hours.
>every mystery leads into another mystery
That's the point, you find every dead body that was present on the ship and then piece together how everyone died from the very start.

I've nearly forgotten everyone. I might just be able to play it again in another year or so.

What is this? Obra Dinn?

Yes. Go play it.

Yes spend 6 hours solving mysteries for a 5 minute pay off. That's called shitty storytelling, user.

>pic
aww fuck my sides

Got him just off the name. Was one of the easiest ones.

thats a nice picture, i like how i can almost name everyone in it

He looks like a celt, this was bullshit.

This. Fucked me up real hard because his face and skintone looked more celtic/gallic than pacific.
While I am mad about that, anyone else get unreasonably mad that the american nog was the carpenter not the assistant in an era where slavery still existed in USA for decades more?

For me, it's the Doc

This Japanese guy did a ton of Obra Dinn art.

Lucas Pope moved to Japan with his (Japanese) wife, and she runs the company that publishes his games so his games always have great Japanese translations.

It didn't feel weird to me, but I'm not American and know nothing about civil war slavery, so I got it first time I noticed he's the carpenter with the hints.

I thought it was very strange, but I wasn't upsetted by it. But yeah, him not being an assistant was pretty odd.

>dumbass me solved him last because I forgot he was the one who gave you the book

I remember Lucas Pope on one podcast, don't remember if it was ted talk or some similar shit, was talking how hard it was to make a UI with multiple localizations in mind and that he remade the original idea of describing a death about 3 times

That was pretty cheeky place to hide a hint.
You can also solve the helmsman immediately by just looking at the sketch before investigating anything.
