I can only remember Saints Row and Borderlands 2. What about you?

I remember farcry 3 doing to too during the DUDE BURN WEED LMAO segment.

>2022 medieval fantasy game
>rap music starts playing as the black protagonist throws quips all game
looking back, it wasn't all bad

The combat music in Far Cry 3 was dubstep

IN THE TRAIL OF FIRE I KNOW WE WILL BE FREE AGAIN
IN THE END WE WILL BE ONE
IN THE TRAIL OF FIRE I'LL BURN BEFORE YOU BURY ME
SET YOUR SIGHTS FOR THE SUN

that shit ruined KHIII's main theme

>2012 still feels like last year
>Was actually a full decade ago

First time I remember hearing it in a game context was the pre-release trailer for Dragon Age II and that always seemed fitting as dubstep was the sound of selling out.
It came to prominence right around the time that mainstream western games just utterly gave up and turned to aids-ridden focus group shit.

I feel like dubstep can be used properly in music like rap, but the musicians need to know how to make proper music in the first place. It's just a tool that should be part of a greater whole.

It was more rasta than dumbster imo

>turned 18 in 2012

Better than rap/trap
The 808 hihat is so fucking tired at this point, when the fuck are normies going to move on?

"rasta"

culturally 2012 feels like a lifetime ago, it was extremely carefree and quaint compared to 2022 (and 2012 itself is dystopian compared to how 2002 felt)

This one makes me unreasonably mad, years later.
So much potential, wasted.

that's drum and bass you frogposter

As opposed to
>2023 game
>strong black woman protagonist

And at the rat things are going, by next year it'll be
>strong black transwoman protagonist

In about 15 years, people are really going to be scratching their heads and wondering just what the fuck was in our water.

>2012
>Playing Minecraft all day
>Listening to Dubstep
>Everything online is about Bronies and KONY 2012

black ops 2 where you go through the nightclub

I actually miss dubstep a lot. Nothing pumps me up more for lifts quite like a bassdrop. Feel like after dubstep+rap started becoming mainstream is when it fell off for me.

Bangarang wasn't bad

Came in this thread just to post this. I liked that segment.

never liked dubstep but that fad went for like 6 years.

>>ywn listen to pre-bangarang skrillex and knife party on your ipod touch walking in between classes again
This is the most faggot ass thing I've read here in a while.
