I'm around lvl 70 in Origin and now most Unique Monster or Boss can just wipe the whole party with just a single AOE attack or just 1 shot anyone who isn't a tank the second they grab aggro. I haven't used any bonus EXP yet so I could just jump 15 levels but is the game really balanced around being overleveled?

Another thing in a similar vein that bothered me was when Lanz and Sena do their heroic sacrifice thing while basically saying "haha we're so pathetic that buying the real MCs time is all we're good for, dw we're fine with being glorified cannon fodder" and nobody ever follows up on that.

Besides gathering all that food for the Tirkins (which had a good payoff eventually, I'll admit) the sidequesting experience in XC3 was pretty damn good; Great, even.

I didn't fuck around with the mobs too much but the final boss felt very manageable at 72 and I didn't get particularly autistic about my loadout going in.
A shame the actual main story is so disappointing.

there's no real quests for them besides tritons, which give alot of affinity. and then the rest can be maxed from the collectopedia relatively easily
