Both are very enjoyable and are also different games. I was surprised how good FO3 was when I played it due to all the NV shilling but FO3 has a charm that NV doesn't. Likewise, NV has charm FO3 doesn't. They are different despite being built in the same engine with the same mechanics

That's a fruitless effort, since stealth does not exist outside crouching. You can be completely invisible to all wavelengths of the spectrum, and if you're standing up, everyone can see you through solid concrete from three rooms away.

I played 3 when I was 10, found it fun, played for many hours. Didn't know much of Fallout during that time. Would probably enjoy it if I played again today. Got New Vegas a while back, but spoiled myself on just about anything that goes on in the game with some Youtube videos and guides but still pretty fun.
