That smug smirk and reaction when Ethan told "Chris" that he was going to kill Miranda. He could have still been looking over the village with Hound Wolf Squad at the time.

Resident Evil has gotten so weird. Why did they abandon all the old characters and gameplay. They should have called this arc something else or at the very least call it a spinoff. Shouldn't be a mainline game. Where the fuck is Jill. She should be the main character, not Chris or Ethan. Chris has hogged the spotlight for like the past 3 or 4 games. Come on man.

I think we'll see them again eventually, but more in the form of cameo's to appease the OG fans like me. I welcome change and them taking the story in a different direction from 7 on. I found it really interesting and really looking forward to whats possibly in the future for the series.

True, but something was off to me about that scene. It's just a theory, but when it comes to Miranda and her shapeshifting, I wouldn't put it past her. He was the last in line, and the one that was going to go against her, and there's no way she didn't know that he was building these soldat/soldiers to fight her and take her down. If anything, Heisengoober might have had the upper hand against her. We'll never know what would have happened if Ethan decided to take his offer, maybe he would have just offed Miranda and that would have been it, or he had other intentions.
