The Q1 remaster is "ok", but you're better off playing with a real engine like FTEQW.

Is it good? Yes. It's a fine and easy way to play the game.
Are you a hyper autist that would complain that the lighting is 3% darker and that some textures on a door are wrong? Then no use a source port.
For all us normal people it's 100% fine and a good way to play.
