It's funny how pic related wasn't the last Bionicle set even though everything about it felt like a situation where they did not know what the fuck to do anymore.

The Inika/Piraka arc's commercials did not explain the plot at all
For years I just assumed the metal fences and mechanical bull were actually things in Bionicle's lore
It worked but I have to wonder
If Hordika sets got flack for being ugly on purpose, why were the Inika also intentionally hideous with their rubber organic masks?

I wasn't old enough during the beginning of Bioncles to become obsessed but did around 2004-2005 (barring the lore, was a kid who just liked the toys) and it didn't feel like fellow children liked that set too much, but who knows. I just remember that one going pretty much unnoticed and then pulling me and friends back in during the Mahri/Barraki set. Still think that set looks pretty great, although I can see why you wouldn't like them if you really like the simplicity of the old sets.
Rap is good but it was a huge departure from anything Bioncle was doing up until that point and compliments the cringe "DUDE WE GOTS ATTITUDE NOW" concept that they were going for. You are a gigantic fucking faggot and maybe all that time on Twitter could have been spent learning to read comprehensively.
Fuck YES, although I would be remiss if I didn't criticize the foliage. Mata nui is supposed to have weirdo organic tech plants, not normal ferns and trees..

It feels more than that though, I mean just based off how the masks look. It wouldn't surprise me if they were hoping to move in that direction with the look if it turned to be a huge success. I'm just assuming though.
