Do any games even flop nowdays that the installbase is so big? They can just say it sold more than their previous games, that it was a tremendous success. Their private board meetings is where they discuss opportunity costs and those other things too complicated for consumers. Then the director sends out a message thanking all who purchased the game, that it was his true vision, that the saga will continue someday, but that now he is looking to begin with other adventures.
