Legit question, is there any story left in Tekken? I remember as a kid I was genuinely interested in who the fuck was the devil between heihashi and his son and grandson, but now I'm so old I can't keep track. Is there a coherent story or is it just shut up and punch each other?

I can't believe that Jiyuna predicted Tekken 8 would have a no gameplay reveal and the bastards actually did it, but way worse than what he had predicted.
He at least predicted there would be some cool cinematic shit happening with background characters and military and shit before panning the camera to someone walking away in the distance and it turning around to show Jin's face or whatever and "Tekken 8"

They mega-retconned Heihachi into being a "literally did nothing wrong, was just trying his best to destroy the devil gene" character. Kazuya killed him (for the 100th time) but for real this time (sure), for revenge. Jin was literally asleep for all of T7. The story ends essentially telling you that the big fight to be had is Jin and Kazuya. I'm genuinely hoping Kaz kills that stupid little faggot. Kaz is the only based character that is relevant to the story. Fuck, I hope he kills Lars, too.
