No, I don't know anything about that other than it revolves around Majhong. I didn't/don't understand that game at all, so honestly when I read the arc about it in Kaiji I almost dropped the series because it was so boring and confusing. I pretty much just ended up skimming until it was over once I gave up on it.
I did however, read this. Also damn amazing.

The biggest problem with the mahjong arc is that the pacing slows to a crawl. There's so little happening and I just don't fucking care. I gave up somewhere in the middle of it and just haven't been able to find the motivation to continue. I kind of want to skip ahead to see if things get better, but I feel like I'll be spoiling myself or missing important events.

I've read most of Fukumoto's stuff and I don't know how to play Mahjong. I just skip it whenever they start talking about hands and combinations and just enjoy the story around it
