Civ 6 was amazing for the evolution of the game at it's core the problems with it were the implementation as well as the usual removal of features only for features that are objective downgrades in their place such as the world congress or every AI being a paranoid schizophrenic who will congratulate you on having such a large empire then denounce you the next turn because you didn't satisfy their hidden agenda of wanting to be the only ball torturer on this continent but only if it's on tuesdays and own desert hill tiles

Eh, I think it is fine, it is nice we get some new different leaders fron the usual suspects
Trajan is nice instead lf the usual Julius, Christina fits perfecly for culture instead of being her dad again and so on

Civ 5 with a few workshop mods is the best game by far, the community support for that game is amazing

Yeah. I'm especially upset about Norway too. So I just downloaded a mod that makes him better.

Basically it makes you really want to settle coastal cities on Norway, even more than before. And it changes to Stave church from a temple replacement to a tile improvement. He still kinda sucks though.

But seriously, why give Vikings a temple replacement building? You want to go high on navy and war with vikings, not random religion. Why couldn't they get a barracks or lighthouse replacement instead???

Every civ that has conflicting bonusses just totally sucks.

Alot of base game civs have some eithr boring or conflicting abilities

The simple inclusion of districts makes civ 6 easily the best. There is more to your city infrastructure than just settling in the right spot and building your buildings in the correct order. You have to think long term about your adjacencies and plan them out in advance. Maybe even get adjacencies from districts from your other cities.

They can seeth all they want, she fits absolutely perfectly as a culture based civ

the problem is that the AI has zero idea how to handle individual units taking up a space. it makes war by far the easiest way to win every game and that's pretty boring.

Just dont play an warmongering civ then, sure, you can steam roll anyone who looks at you as the ottomans or you can play french eleanor

I don't mind districts, but the layers of governor, unit balance and improvement changes shit that covers the rest of the game doesn't make it as fun as V imo.

Also, they leaned too hard into the playstyle bonueses for each culture
V had a nice balance where your Civ was good at things that could be applied to one or two or rarely 3 victory types while 6 bottlenecked Sumeria into domination and France into culture, hard
