It's a pretty fun airdasher. Very similar to Skullgirls (unsurprisingly, as it uses the same engine as a base), meaning if you enjoyed that title, you'll probably like this one as well.
Pretty sure the game's dedicated general on /mlp/ still hosts weeklies (or maybe monthlies), so if you wanted to get wrecked by fellow user, that'd be your best bet.

the devs are very, very slow, but supposed to release a couple bigger updates and console versions relatively soon(tm)
it has the only story mode actually worth a shit in any modern fighting game, but it's only 1/6th finished

there's no way it can be lifted without a storm of shitposting ensuing. It would pass eventually, but the mods/jannies don't want to deal with it full stop so it's easier for them to just leave it in place. despite the fact it's been like 10 years and the brony fandom is a pitiful trickle compared to what it was back then.

It is worth 12 bucks for sure. TFH has a great tutorial if you aren't familiar with fighting games and it also has a decent length story (only chapter 1 so far but it has unique boss fights).

The Salt Mines is indeed a nice fun game type to play if you need a break from fighting other players and it was revamped after release. Another fighter, Shanty has also been added.

I absolutely adore how this game handles story mode, the lobbies and the music. Its a bit of a shame that it has that MLP stigma attached to it because this is the best indie fighting game of all time imo. But of course most people wont give it the time of day because they don't want to be even slightly associated with the multicolored horse menace.
Hope that some future fighting games take notes from this game.

In a weird way, the long-outdated ruling has been a direct benefit to /mlp/ as a standalone entity, as it's allowed the containment board to develop its own culture and atmosphere largely unique to the rest of the site (especially post-2016).
But yeah, getting slapped with a 3-day for having the gall to post a pastel equine nearly TWELVE YEARS after the show aired (and close to two full years since it ended) has become pretty stupid by this point. To say little on TFH being some "forbidden" unspeakable vidya.
