Weapon durability shouldn't have been part of the game.
>b-b-but it forces you to use different weapons!
Give the weapons interesting movesets and mechanics and people will use them without being forced to do so.

Correct. Elemental weapons and stuff like boomerang throw was cool, but the game needed more of that and none of the breaking to encourage use of multiple weapons.

Dark Souls series has breaking weapons too yet I don't see you complain about that.

I can’t even say durability even encourages you to use different weapons for their different properties, you’re just basically rotating through the same disposable items as a form of item management that is pointless since you’re able to carry and collect so many after each encounter

Dark Souls durability doesn't exist to try to force you try different weapons, but yes, the lack of actual move variety in DaS fucking sucks.

I've gained a super power. I'm not arguing with faggots like you anymore. There are 2 options here, either you're baiting or you're retarded. Either way I'd be wasting my time.

With whqt they did, weapon breaking was good. However, weapon should have been random affix and prefix and witha rock paper scissor weakness type akin to doom eternal system, where certain weapon are more effective against certain enemy due to their damage type, firing style and reload speed.

I don't care about itemization at all in Zelda games. Would be just as happy with one iconic suit, one sword, one shield, one boomerang, one bow.

What's the issue with weapons breaking? The game throws a fuckton of weapons at you constantly I barely registered it as a system outside of eventide/sword trials.
And in those two situations it was a boon.

You can just travel to certain towers and pick up high quality weapons whenever you want. The durability system adds nothing but dumb busiwork.

Weapon durability wasn't even a significant problem with the game. The problem was slapping Zelda on a yearly asscreed game

No I wouldn't, once you give me a good ice based weapon everything else can fuck off. I didn't care for BotW's combat on the whole but I fucking loved great frostblades. Literally all I ever need.

>"what's the problem with X"
>proceeds to name a problem
Do you just not think before you post or are you just retarded?

Weapon breaking sucks, and only retards who've never actually played a Ubisoft game think BotW is anything like them.

What's the issue? You press right bumper every so often. Oh no we better have threads about this every day for 5 years. Fuck off faggot.

It was hardly asscreed. It's not much of a stealth game, and largely puzzles and boss fights.

ummm..... wtf are you doing, sweaty? you're not allowed to say anything negative about /ourgame/.

Nah, weapons shouldn't have had modifiers like Durability Up and Long Throw, and they should have been more rare (Maybe make half or more of them break when an enemy drops them). There's a reason everyone loves that stranded island part and the dlc that copied it.

>Give the weapons interesting movesets and mechanics and people will use them without being forced to do so.
No they won't, they will use the best one.
>b-but I play this meme build in Elden Ring where you use a shitty weapon that has a cool move and
No you don't, you use the best one

>No you don't, you use the best one
In roleplaying games I usually choose weapons for how well they fit my character rather than optimization.

Same. But you gotta admit, our characters are probably gimps.
