Reminder CAPCOM has for the last decade attempted to make millions of dollars by putting a RE game out every single year and never stopped even in the face of bad reviews. This of course caused a focus on meeting deadlines and fanservice over innovative or engaging gameplay. If CAPCOM gave their devs time to work out the strengths of their new engine and embrace survival-horror as well as suspense over action we wouldn't have this dumb cycle if escalation each numbered installment must have according to CAPCOM higher-ups.
