Games are releasing. You just aren't interested in any of them.

I mostly play fighting games these days and it's been one of the best years for fighting games in a really long while
>new SF that actually looks like it'll be good at launch without needing 5 years of patches to play well
>new Garou announced after 20+ years of waiting
>TONS of previously released games have gotten or are announced to be getting rollback (Dragonball FighterZ, Persona 4 Ultimax, Blazblue Centralfiction, even Samurai Shodown 2019)
>big updates for popular games like KOFXV, Melty Blood TL and Skullgirls
>Fightcade keeping the old classics alive
We're in a renaissance age right now, I can't ask for more

i dont like giving square money for what they did to the FF7 remake but maybe I'll pirate some of them.

Elden Ring.
Soulash.
Pokemon Legends and Scarlet/Violet.
Splatoon 3.
Xenoblade 3.
Triangle Strategy.
Super Bullet Break.
Cult of the Lamb.
Evenicle 2.
Venusblood Gaia.
Fire Emblem Three Hopes.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Dragon Quest Treasure.
Grim Guardians.

Pretty good year. And we'll probably get a few more games of note announced and released before the year is over.

all shit except Evenicle 2 for cooming purposes.

so far this year I played:
Elden Ring
Turbo Overkill
God of War PC
POSTAL Brain Damaged
Scathe Demo
Anger Foot Demo
SCP: Fragmented Minds Demo

Still waiting on:
Evil West
The Callisto Protocol
EXOPRIMAL
ARC Raiders
Spine

And those last two are going to be F2P so I'm not even necessarily counting on them. What the fuck are you talking about? Just literally watch any YouTube video saying "top upcoming games for 2022" and you'll see there's 50 new games on 2022. MathChief shows most of them.

If Darktide sucks it’s over

didnt it get delated?

Fightcade is dead except for 3S and those games are awful.

>Live a Live
Horrible localization, just play a fan translation of the original
>Diofield
Looks interesting, keeping an eye on it
>Valkyrie Elysium
Looks like utter shit. Ugly characters and environments, combat looks simplistic and unsatisfying, overall a complete rape of the IP.
>Star Ocean
Gameplay looks alright but this is a series that hasn't had a single good game so I'm not convinced.
>Harvestella
Might be alright. The best part of the trailer was the music but I'm interested.
>DQ
Boring franchise
>Crisis Core remake
FF7R was shit, no way they're suddenly going to do a 180 with this one.

2/7 would still get you an F in school.

Sometimes I wonder if the people who complain about 2022's videogame releases even likes videogames.

EVO had the lowest amount of participants and viewers in like a decade and people are acting like it's a boom. FGC are basically the bronies of video games at this point, totally unaware of what's around them. It's a hugbox where they are constant mindfucked by advertising and their biggest delusions are constantly reinforced by predatory ecelebs.

one good and one okay game
better than most years but still pretty dreadful
