Alright, I see where that is coming from. I heard that Muslims aren't allowed to listen to specific kind of music because the instruments are unnatural? Would something along those lines also be in the running for saying why videogames aren't haram? Is that even real?

Things that can intoxicate the mind are considered haram, hence why shit like alcohol and marijuana and other narcotics are vilified in Islam, among other things. Not all music is banned exactly, there are still Nasheeds which feature voices exclusively, and are Islamic in nature. You also have to understand that Islam is big, and it has many sects, sometimes sects within sects. The Quran is absolute, it has never changed since it's first genuine printing, however the interpenetration of it has always been a topic of debate.
Allah, or God if you prefer is infinitely merciful. He will forgive any sin, so as long as you accept him as the most supreme being and Muhammad as his final messenger, you will go to paradise.

If they made a Kingdom Come Deliverance but Islam I would buy the hell out of that, but I think that we're lacking Islamic video games because it's incredibly easy to offend most Muslims. A game like this would have to be heavy in Islamic aesthetic and theme, but never actually outright state that it's actually Islam. That's part of what makes Assassins Creed 1 so amazing for me, it's laced with just enough Islamic flavor and theme, but they never outright say it... They just draw huge parallels. And I think they could have even taken it a step deeper or two.

Could you not make an outright Islamic game and just say "It's an Islamic game" but with a full intent at just glorifying the motif? In KCD you play as a guy who is very adamantly Christian & are encouraged to be a good Christian to succeed in most cases. Sure things get silly here or there, but it's never breaking that spirit. I'd hate to think that it would be impossible to have that for a Muslim character.

the trick is to have a game with enough religion in it where its not being preachy. in kcd yeah henry is generally a good christian boy but then you go to a church and get absolutely shitfaced with a priest and you can go take baths with escorts.
