I've played a bit of Stalker and Anomaly but I can see Tarkov looks a little bit similar?

it's the best tacticool shooter around, decent mechanics, good immersion, shitty build, will forever be in beta, great repertoire of firearms and tactical gear, amazing tetris like loot administration system, decent survival and very good sound design.
Also hackers and cod like players.

It's an extraction game with a huge focus on the realism of the guns.
The gun customisation is very well done, and the gunplay has some realism elements. (Sounds being very important, you lose stamina while ADsing, etc..)
The game has no "end goal", you spawn on a map and you try to find yoru way out while killing enemies and looting stuff to make better gear. You can play as some scavenger that comes around when the action is over to continue looting the maps.
Problem is, the game is extremely buggy, janky, and very, very frustrating. It has zero QoL elements, you don't start with a map, and you don't know where you are, neither the extracts are located. You will prend most of the time optimising your inventory by doing bag-inception, and going back and forth in menus and sellers. Also, the game does a complete wipe every few months or so, so you lose verything.
Honestly, I don't think it's worth it. The idea is good, but it's pure russian jank and an overall waste of time.

It's a scam. The art team and animators are good, but that's really all it has going for it. This game is only for streamers and cheaters.

It's not like stalker at all.
It's a weird mix of rpg, mmo, battle royale and pseudo realistic shooter.
It's pretty fun if you get it sorted out and gunfights are very adrenaline-pumping, so much that I quit because of it.
Also, I wouldn't recommend listening to too positive and too negative reviews. It' have plenty of problems, but it also have soul.

Game has a good foundation but is ultimately bad.
Playing without a team is a horrible grind and every raid is just a dice roll. People doing quests are just fodder for people who have everything finished making the game very one-sided.
I bought the game because I was super impressed with the weapon autism. I only ended up playing late last wipe and haven't played this wipe. I don't see the point as I will always be at a disadvantage because I don't have a friend group to play with and I can't commit tons of time to be a solo virgin.

Depends what you are trying to do, if you wana 100% quests you have to completely no life it. Some quests require you to just sit in a spot for half an hour just for the CHANCE to complete part of a quest.

I basically did that for 6 months last wipe, no life style. Got to lvl like 48 or something, was decent at pvp but no where near done. It's an awful fucking grind, and they made it even harder this wipe.

you can do that, you don't have to do the quests if you don't want to. you can just hunt down players and pvp all day if you want to. just remember to extract with your loot so you can sell afterwords.

Honestly, the game is inherently flawed. It says a lot when the best players in the game have like a 60% extraction rate at the end of the day. What's the point in getting better if you still get cheesed on a good portion of your runs?
