there's something weirdly psychopathic about the level of joy some people exhibit over killing nazis and KKK people in video games. It exposes that those people aren't the paragons of moral virtue and societal progress they claim to be; they're factionalised militants with an eerie bloodlust that boils to the fore the second they get an "acceptable" target. It's fucking creepy that I have to share a society with these ghouls who pretend to be beacons of morality, but would be happy to slice me up with a rusty knife (and brag about it!) if they thought I were on The Wrong Side of History
