It was GO TO BATHROOM NOW

It was the best Punisher game we've had since Volition's, had some pretty decent writing and performances and a great OST

This was better and we'll never see a Mafia game as good as it ever again.

Very interesting take, I like it.

I just played the level where you dose the WASPs with LSD, very impressive level design. The entire franchise is underrated, 3 is definitely the weakest entry but it's far from a bad game IMO. It's bloated in areas and could have used some more polish and optimization. Mafia DE is amazing looking, would be cool if they could enhance 3 to that level, I'd buy it again.

>go from realistic crime family story to unrealistic revenge fantasy

The only good things were the Nawlins setting, which is rarely used in vidya, and the soundtrack. Also, the leftie devs did my boy Vito dirty.
I know it had a lot of cut content and didn't have a free-ride mode, but fuck, I liked Mafia II. Empire Bay is a beautiful and comfy place, particularly during the first part in winter of 1944.

I passed it as a shitty collection game but I think a story about a pissed off black 'Nam vet just going ham on local mafia could've been kino.
>tfw unloading M60 on greaseballs like in the opening of Punisher Max

>the leftie devs did my boy Vito dirty
He didn't feel like himself at all. The dialogue as a whole was a lot worse than 2. It lacks that witty, quick dialogue that made 2 so good.

See, you're right, it indeed felt like playing as a black Punisher, but that's it.
When I play a Mafia game, I want to plays as a wop and with different mob families and a concrete jungle, not as an eggplant in the bayou.
If they really wanted to use the 60's/701's time period, I think it'd have been better to use Vegas, since there were lots of mob wars for the casino empires. On that topic, too bad the Scarface: TWIY that went that way sequel got canned.

>unrealistic
dumb criticism considering the bat shit insane stuff Tommy does in the first game.

no not yet

It was literally some random no name cuck low testosterone bay area studio being given the rights to the Mafia name and making some fucking dogshit woke fan fiction.

>woke fan fiction
The story was legitimately great but undermined by really poor open world bullshit. If it was a strictly linear like the prior games, everyone here would be singing its praises.

I have tolerance for anything woke the game will throw at me, but the gameplay itself was laughably bad. i spent the whole game clearing outposts and interrogating the boss the very same way for 10 hours, it's anti fun

You forgot that stellar splash screen before the game even starts with God’s chosen talking about all the pain whites have caused.
It wasn’t exactly a subtle game, and I’m glad the most memorable thing from it was some idiot shitting his pants.

I want a real Mafia 3 so bad, bros.

>this game's only legacy is some autist shitting himself on stream
Pottery

Not him but I totally agree. Every moment with him felt really off.

the gameplay is fun and the ideas are solid but having to unlock story missions by taking over districts with the same handful of activities killed it for me. it was really fun for about ten hours though.
