They not really zombie, more like a cross between zombie and vampire. Still even in Chinese media they also very rare, simply because their aesthetic just became less scary overtime. They used to represented Qing dynasty bureaucrat that try to suck the blood of the people even when they are dead. But that fear is harder to translate to modern media

The fact that they have to wear cringe clothing specific to one time period in one part of the world and have weird letter over their face makes them really really hard to work with. Not to mention the fact that it is one of the least scary undead monsters out there. It’s just a jumping zombie that cant even infect others and cant even move for gods sake.
