I finished replaying CC and for the first time I fucking understand the story. Retarded, but a wild ride as well. I thought it was nostalgia, but now that I get it, I love it even more than before.
They really should make another Chrono game where you play as Magus looking for Schala and use the opportunity to fix some shit.
In CC, all problems introduced are solved, however, they don't really mention anything outside of El Nido. And as for CC characters, after the restart at the end, Radical Dreamers may as well be canon.
Crono and Marle are most likely fighting against Dalton. It would be nice to get a happy ending for CT characters as well. Porre being defeated, Guardia being rebuilt, Magus finding Schala, Lucca being saved, Robo not being erased as a part of FATE etc.

Fix what? The only flaw I can think of is that the very well made combat is wasted, because enemies are too easy, so you can finish the game without ever using buffs or debuffs and most battles by just hitting the enemies with normal attacks.

In fact, they didn't. People assumed that Crono and Marle are dead, because they saw their "ghosts", but they're not ghosts, they're some kind of interdimensional echoes.
Not only CC doesn't suggest Crono and Marle are dead, it was never said that Lucca died. Lynx took her to Chronopolis to unlock the Frozen Flame, but the plan failed in an unspecified way, and it's not stated what happened to her then. She could've escaped. One way or another, including jumping through time - she created one Time Egg (used to save Kid from being "trapped in her past"), so she could've had another.
Only Robo, as FATE's rogue circuit, has been deleted. But you can't really get mad about characters from other eras. You could as well be mad about CT's ending, because Ayla and Frog are long dead when Crono, Marle and Lucca get their happy ending.
Plus, considering Chrono games are all about time shenanigans, everything can still be changed.
And finally, if you played the game, you'd know that CC's story is pretty much already "retconned" by its own ending.

Holy shit the cope. The game is pretty damn clear about Lucca's fate, her ghost is unquestionably the real deal as evidenced by her dialogue with Kid, and there's 0 reason to believe Crono and Marle are any different than her.
And it's far more than just "they did something bad to muh CT characters", it regularly shits on CT for the sake of its edgy, pretentious "HUMANS BAD" message, and so that Kato's fanfic OCs can save the day for real this time.
